Intelligent Eddy-Current Testing (ECT) Probe System
ECT Probe System has been used in Japan since 2003. Since then, over 330,000 tubes have been inspected end-to-end (full length) in SGs by the probe; then 1,927 tubes were repaired (plugged). In the U.S., 15 plants have utilized the system since 2010.
MNES offers the EPRI Appendix H qualified intelligent ECT Probe System for steam generator tubing inspection. This technology combines the high-speed reading acquisition of bobbin probes with the refined detection capability of rotating probes. Data acquisition is 80 times faster than conventional rotating ECT probes and reliable by actualizing full length analysis using auto signal processing. The result is lightening fast readings with no blind spots.
